This privacy policy informs you about how we process your personal data when you visit our website or shop in our online store. Personal data is any data that can be used to personally identify you.

3. Server Log Files

When you use our website for informational purposes only, i.e., simply viewing it without registering or otherwise providing us with information, we process the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. The data described below is technically necessary for us to display our website to you and to ensure its stability and security, and therefore must be processed by us. The legal basis for this is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

4. Data processing in connection with registration for a lecture

If you would like to register for a lecture with us, the following categories of data will be processed:

  • First and Last Name
  • E-Mail adress
  • Phone number

All fields are mandatory. Processing is based on Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 Letter b GDPR.

5. Cookies and analytics tools

We use cookies on our website to enable certain functions (e.g., form submission), to statistically evaluate usage, and to improve the user experience.

Technically necessary cookies are used on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. For all other cookies, we obtain your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR via our cookie banner.

To tailor our websites to user needs, we create pseudonymous usage profiles using Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses targeting cookies, which are stored on your device and can be read by us.

This allows us to recognize returning visitors and count them as such, as well as to see how frequently our websites are accessed by different users. Data processing is based on Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR (consent).

  • Retention period under VAT law: 8 to 10 years

  • In accordance with Article 15 of the GDPR, you have the right to request information about your data processed by us to the extent specified therein;
  • In accordance with Article 16 GDPR, you have the right to request the immediate rectification of inaccurate data or the completion of your data stored with us;
  • In accordance with Article 17 GDPR, you have the right to request the erasure of your data stored by us, unless processing is necessary for exercising the right of freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims;
  • In accordance with Article 18 GDPR, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your data if the accuracy of the data is contested by you or the processing is unlawful;
  • In accordance with Article 20 GDPR, you have the right to receive the data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or to request its transmission to another controller (“data portability”);
  • Pursuant to Article 21(1) GDPR, you have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you, where the processing is based on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR); we will then no longer process your data unless there are compelling legitimate grounds which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the purpose of establishing, exercising or defending legal claims;
  • Pursuant to Article 21, paragraphs 2 and 3 of the GDPR, you may object at any time to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes, with the consequence that your personal data will no longer be processed for these purposes;
  • In accordance with Article 7(3) of the GDPR, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, should you have given such consent. This means that we will no longer be permitted to process the data based on this consent in the future;
  • According to Article 77 of the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with any data protection supervisory authority, in particular with the data protection supervisory authority of your place of residence, your place of work or the place of an alleged infringement, if you believe that the processing of personal data relating to you infringes the GDPR or other data protection law.

10. Data transfer to third party countries

Personal data will only be transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA (so-called third countries) if it is necessary for the execution of your orders, required by law, or if you have given us your consent.
One example is the transfer of data to payment service providers such as PayPal or to Google in connection with the use of Google Analytics. In these cases, we ensure that the recipient either has an adequacy decision from the EU Commission or that suitable safeguards within the meaning of Articles 44 et seq. GDPR are in place (e.g., standard contractual clauses)

12. No automated decision-making (including profiling)

We do not intend to use personal data collected from you for any automated decision-making process. (including profiling)

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy from time to time to comply with legal requirements or to reflect changes in our services. The new privacy policy will then apply to your next visit.
